冷峻不失为美。以夜郎自大而轻薄王朝闻何以为美？文坛有先锋派异军突起。先锋派张狂姿肆要打倒中国传统文化，王朝闻自然不能幸免。先锋并非坏事，没有先锋，文艺事业也许便没有生气。但以对华夏民族五千年璀璨文化毫无热情为冷峻美，虚以为起跑线，纵诸位先锋因此而鹤立众鸡之群，又能立多久？先锋派们不是宣称要从蜿蜒小径走向诺贝尔文学奖吗？须知，没有特色就没有区别，没有民族性，特色也就无从谈起。扎根于厚实的传统文化土壤，批判地继承之，仍为医治先锋们自以为是的一剂良药。
文艺创作是需要度过艰苦岁月的，任何时候都是一种孤寂的痛苦的独立创造。作为王朝闻的故乡人，距离王老无限远或者无限近，是求不出成功的极值的。窃以为有分寸地“告别”王朝闻，走自己的路，认认真真地写出自己鲜明的个性来，对于发展名人地域文化，似为良择。
