女警官心里都有着同样的追求和梦想。她们都是老边防的子女们，继承父业参军入伍。如今，带着实现童年时的向往与理想，走到一起来，她们期盼自己的梦想成为现实，警务室能实现自己的理想吗？警务室，陌生的字眼，视乎超脱世俗的牵绊，少了许多尘事的纷扰，只是车轮碾压草地吱吱声，让她们想起日后的苦日子，警花们渐渐无语了。
行驶在弯弯曲曲的草原路上，车上播放着DV《我的未来不是梦》，姑娘们七嘴八舌，都说英教导员放的音乐老掉牙了。
英教导员可不这么想，他想着“警务室，很多男同志都吃不了这个苦，也很心疼这些姑娘在警务室工作，她们能在这里坚持工作下去吗？希望姑娘们能够克服困难，也期待着她们用实际行动来实现自己的梦想。”
英教导员想着想着，看大家都不言语了。“我给你们讲讲这里的民风习俗吧，你们知道‘乌珠穆沁’是什么意思吗？”“是地名”“对，是这里的地名，但不单单指的是咱们这里，它分为东、西乌珠穆沁。据说，乌珠穆沁这个地名是据蒙古人民共和国扎·关其格扎布的《绵羊经济》一书中载“乌珠穆沁”一词是“乌哲木吉”，译为壮观的意思；另外，还有一种说法，史料也有记载，“乌珠穆沁”为部落名，原在外蒙古西南部的阿尔泰山一带的“绵羊叫、马蹬响”之“葡萄山”一带，以经营野葡萄为生，故称“乌珠穆”一名……”
“哦，这过去还有野葡萄呢，教导员你真了不起啊，知道的还真不少。”
“这也是下乡听老乡说的，要想在这里开展工作啊，就先了解这里的民俗风情，尊重少数民族地区的风俗习惯，单珂要多和都林、阿茹娜交流学习，只有了解了才能更好地开展工作。听说你们几个父亲都是老边防了，我想你们一定和你们的父亲一样，会爱上这片草原，会忠诚职守这份职业，我真的很希望以后精彩的故事更多期待着你们用实践去描述。”
“姑娘们，你们别看这四面环山和高低起伏丘陵与所有的草原一样，可这底下却蕴藏着丰富的宝藏，有石油、煤炭、丰富的矿种；地上跑的、天上飞的野动物很多，有黄羊、麋鹿、野猪、狍子、天鹅、大雁、金雕；还有许多野生植物，野葡萄现在不多见了，不过还有野山杏、野萝卜、蘑菇、黄花、地皮菜等植物，现在正是采蘑菇的好季节，到了警务室让呼警长领着你们去采蘑菇拣黄花……”
“晕，教导员说的话有些像诗歌里的，带点诱导倾向。”珂儿说完，大家都笑了，车内的气氛顿时活跃起来。
“哈哈，我可不是诱导啊，我真希望你们的心情就像前面的湖泊，激情荡漾夏哈图淖尔，小张咱们就靠着湖边停一会，让姑娘们领略一下乌珠穆沁最美的自然芦苇荡。”
